A friend of mine is a event planer for the Cystal City Marriot.  She asked if I could take a couple photos of the tables.  I went up there and two photographers were there already just hanging out.  The event didn’t even start till 1P.M.  I guess the economy is hurting that bad, these guys were serious about promoting their work.  My GF was with me to help out with the lighting setup, as soon as I started setting up my lighting, the photographer comes up and introduces himself.  Seemed like a nice guy until he started talking.

Once I setup my lighting, he comes over and is hey man let me try something out blah blah, this is how you get the ambient lighting.  Im a pretty patient person, so I go along with it and let him show me.  He trys to setup a long shutter shot and expect the strobe to show up.  I did not bring a tripod with me because I knew I was using strobes.  The photographer trys to shoot a long shutter shot, of course it wasnt going to work because of the camera shake.

The guy was completely rude and instead of trying to give pointers, he was kinda trying to run me out of the place.  After I smiled and went on with whatever he was talking about, I continued to shoot the rest of the table setups.  He then comes back again!  Telling his story about what he does ect… and says how much he loves natural light.  I like natural light too, but I dont think orange tungent dim lights in the marriot are gonna help me much besides give me a head ache.
